BIO

I still remember the first time I stood before my Grade 10 English class, heart pounding, hands slightly trembling. It was the Slam Poetry Competition, and I had poured my heart into a spoken word piece—my first ever. But as I stood there, a thought gnawed at me: Would they understand?

I took a deep breath and spoke. Line by line, word by word, something powerful happened. They listened. They understood. And by the time I finished, I had not only won the competition—I had discovered my voice.

But that moment wasn’t just about a classroom victory. It was the beginning of something bigger. The realization that God had placed words in my heart, not just for me, but to minister, to empower, to establish His kingdom through the spoken word.

My name is Omoyorisola Odukoya. I’m sixteen years old, born in Nigeria, and in 2022, my family and I moved to Saskatoon, Canada. Now in Grade 12 at Holy Cross High School, I continue to embrace the calling God has placed on my life.

I am passionate about His kingdom, and with every word He gives me, I choose to be His vessel—speaking His mind, touching lives, and carrying His message to the world.
